Golden Globes dresses!

In no particular order, let’s take a look at this year’s hits and misses…

First of all, Angie-Jo wore colour. Actual colour. All over her. And she does sort of look like Ariel’s fin but we can look past this because the woman looks so much more alive when she steps away from the black.

Oscars 2010: And more people wore more stuff

As well as the event itself, the after-parties cultivated yet even more outfits to ogle, especially the Vanity Fair one.  And you know what?  That bloody Cameron Diaz only went and did it AGAIN later in the night.

Like the dress she wore for the ceremony, this is glitzy, glam and super-flattering but also makes her look youthful.  Another huge thumbs-up.

I think we can now finally forgive her for that time she kept wearing bowler hats.

The Oscars happened and some people wore some clothes

Dear reader, give your eyes a long, cool, delicious sip of this:

Oh Cameron.  Oh Cammy, Cammy, Cammy.  Wow.

I actually gasped when I first saw this picture and then looked around the room to see if anyone else was looking over my shoulder, also basking in the feminine sparkliness.  As it happened, no one was, they were all working like I should have been, but still, I basked alone and oohed and ahhed to myself over how gorgeous she looks.

Lady Gaga’s grammy dress

Of course Lady Gaga wore the most eye catching dress.  Of course.  I’m often torn between admiring her unique style and rolling my eyes at how hard she’s trying to be different, but I have to say, yellow hair aside this Barbarella-cum-Dancing On Ice number is actually really beautiful.

I mean, yeah it’s batshit crazy, but in all seriousness if I made a living from acting the loon as she does, I would totally wear this.  In fact I wish I could wear this, but it doesn’t seem very pub-friendly, especially the big spiky ball thing.

My favourite Golden Globes gown?

Yes, it is rather “Barbie goes to high school Prom” but I’m a complete sucker for anything of a purple hue.  Besides, about 90% of the Golden Globe dresses were either black or a boring nude colour.

And her hair, figure and makeup is looking pretty hot as well.  Definitely one of her better moments.

Talking of my love of the colour, this shade of purple is also scrumptious:

But I’m not so much feeling the transparent material, or Sandy’s hair and makeup.

Maybe I love it because she looks like a big bar of Cadbury’s Dairy Milk?

Mmmmm…. chocolate.
